About Blair M. Jacobs

Blair M. Jacobs is a partner in the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department in McDermott Will & Emery’s Washington, D.C., office.  Blair focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and related antitrust disputes before federal district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the International Trade Commission. He represents clients in a variety of technical areas, including robotics, fiber optic telecommunication equipment, photolithographic equipment, semiconductors, internet technologies, iris recognition security devices, computer hardware and software, medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs.  Blair has extensive trial experience in federal court and has specific experience trying patent infringement issues before juries.   Additionally, he is experienced in the appellate phase of litigation at the Federal Circuit and other federal appellate courts, and has presented more than 20 oral arguments.  Blair also counsels clients on intellectual property and corporate matters, including strategic IP counseling, patent portfolio management, product development strategy, litigation avoidance and risk minimization.  He advises clients on general business matters relating to licensing, trademarks, sales strategies, due diligence and employment.

About Robert J. Walters

Robert J. Walters is a partner in the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department in McDermott Will & Emery’s Washington, D.C., office.  Rob’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling on intellectual property matters.  He is an experienced trial lawyer and has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous state and federal jury trials, in Section 337 actions at the International Trade Commission and before appellate courts in intellectual property cases.  Rob has represented clients in a wide variety of technical areas, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, medical imaging, medical devices and product design.  He also advises clients on portfolio development and other intellectual property strategies.  Rob is a frequent speaker on intellectual property litigation topics, and he is currently the vice chair of the International Trade Commission Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association.  Rob is recognized by Legal 500 USA as a leading lawyer in the field of intellectual property and a “highly experienced and motivated” litigator.

Christina A. OndrickChristina A. Ondrick focuses her practice on litigation and counseling relating to intellectual property, including patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition and antitrust matters. She has represented major corporations in cases and matters involving optical, electrical, chemical, mechanical and medical-related technologies. Christina has experience in all phases of litigation and has been involved in multiple jury trials and appeals. She has experience in litigation matters before the district courts, the International Trade Commission and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Christina is a registered patent attorney with experience in patent prosecution, reexaminations and interferences before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Christina received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.S. in chemical engineering from West Virginia University.
