ALJ Charneski Denies Respondent's Motion for Summary Determination of Non-Infringement
On May 10, 2010, ALJ Carl Charneski denied respondent MVTec Software GmbH’s motion for summary determination of non-infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 7,016,539 and 7,065,262. Complainants Cognex Corp. and Cognex Tech. & Investment Corp. and the Commission Investigative Staff opposed the motion. ALJ Charneski found that there exist disputed issues of material fact, especially in light of disputed claim terms coupled with the highly complex technology at issue.
